I got this book yesterday and the whole plot could be told through the characters
Cindy Bixby our narrator, Cindy is 18 freshman in college unassuming unpopular until she joins the sorority Pi Beta Alpha everything is going great for her until she goes out with Meri Sugarman's ex-boyfriend
Meri Sugarman our resident psycho bitch who also happens to be president of Pi Beta Alpha she over reacts just because Cindy is going out with her EX boyfriend as in no longer together which means he's fair game .This girl has way too much power she has all the dorms bugged she knows dirty little secrets about nearly all the faculty and can blackmail them , she could change students gpa have teachers pregrade papers and even get students deported.
Other characters include Gloria Meri's sidekick
Shanna Francine who's not as dumb as she'.s pretending in fact it's all an act to take down Meri
Lindsay Cindy's friend and sorority sister also wants to take. Meri down
Patty Camp Cindy's roommate who warns her about Meri even diagnosing her as borderline sociopath or something
Keith Meri's ex boyfriend Meri has him arrested cause she's a jealous bitch she even messes with his medical papers to say he has STD .
Bud. Cindy's classmate who despite being a doofus is pretty cool
Lisa Cindy's 14 year old sister who wants to be the next Christina A or something
Ok back to Meri why would a college let one girl have this much power over them I know there's the whole Hoover file which was started way back in 1919 but even still it's ridiculous Meri crosses the line so much and nobody calls her out on it until the end and even then she gets away of course there are 2 more books
